He was left with a serious leg injury after colliding with a car
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital on Saturday, September 24, after trying to cross the A14 near Burton Latimer. .
The incident took place on a stretch of the A14 between junction 11 for Cranford and junction 10 for Burton Latimer, according to Northamptonshire Police. At around 11.35pm, three pedestrians attempted to cross the westbound carriageway of the busy dual carriageway. One of them, described by Northants Police as a man in his 50s from Leicestershire, collided with a white VW Golf whilst crossing the road. The collision left him with a serious leg injury.Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to the University Hospital Coventry.
Officers from Northants Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage of the pedestrians attempting to cross the A14 prior to the collision.
