Man United fans think Erik ten Hag already has Luke Shaw's replacement

Man United have been rocked by another injury blow, this time losing left-back Luke Shaw to an unspecified muscle injury.

Some Manchester United supporters do not believe the club needs to dip into the transfer market before next Friday's deadline to source a new left-back, naming Alvaro Fernandez as the ideal replacement for Luke Shaw.

Just hours before the Reds announced Shaw's injury blow, the club sanctioned a deal that allowed fellow left-back Brandon Williams to head out on loan. He has joined Championship side Ipswich Town for the season. He made four appearances for United over the course of pre-season, but none of those outings came in fixtures where Ten Hag had his first-choice XI available to him. He started the clashes with Leeds, Lyon, Wrexham and Athletic Bilbao.

However, despite United planning to bring in a new left-back, a number of supporters believe Fernandez should be given the opportunity to prove himself. Some supporters also believe other areas of the squad should be the focus in the final week of the window.
