The latest rumours surrounding Man United with Thomas Tuchel the latest name to be linked with becoming manager at Old Trafford should Erik ten Hag be sacked
Thomas Tuchel could make a shock return to the Premier League as Manchester United have reportedly held talks with the German succeeding Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.
According to reports in Germany though, Tuchel could be on his way back to England and more specifically Old Trafford as new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe draws up plans for life after Ten Hag, who saw his tenure with the Reds stoop to a new low on Sunday afternoon as United required a penalty shootout to defeat Championship Coventry City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup - despite being 3-0 up in the 70th minute.
Speaking earlier this year, the former Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund manager refused to comment on speculation of where he could end up after his time at Bayern Munich comes to an end, insisting he is focused on the task at hand. "For me personally, things no longer have a long-term effect. There are enough examples where something like that can help a coach or a team. I always expect the maximum, we haven’t delivered that often enough."
