It remains to be seen which players will be pursued by club bosses, although one potential target put the cat among the pigeons with a bizarre blunder on social media.American midfielder Weston McKennie joined Juventus in 2020, but his career looked to be spiralling when he struggled on loan at Leeds United in the second half of last season.
However, on Friday afternoon McKennie's Facebook profile photo changed to an image of hime wearing a Man United shirt.Around 20 minutes later the image was changed back to one of him wearing a Juventus kit, but not before United fans caught wind of the situation. "I wouldn't be surprised by Ten Hag actually wanting to sign him. He's done worse," one fan commented, while another wrote: "Won't be a bad signing tbh."A third fan argued: "Would be such a good signing too that’s the worse part. It would make too much sense."
