Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong is among three defenders that Manchester United are eyeing as Aaron Wan-Bissaka 's replacement, according to a report.
The journalist has reported that Kounde is appreciated for his versatility due to his capabilities at centre-back. In a tweet, he wrote: "#ManUTD, assessments ongoing on the possible Wan Bissaka's replacement.ALSO READ: Manchester United's dream squad for next season with five new signings The MEN reported in February that United were monitoring Bayer Leverkusen defenders Jeremie Frimpong and Edmond Tapsoba. The defensive pairing were shortlisted as potential defensive reinforcements by United last year, with the club holding discussions with Frimpong's representatives. However, Wan-Bissaka's form and the renewal of Diogo Dalot's contract deferred a move for the 23-year-old.
The La Liga giants are in a state of transition as they prepare for the departure of Xavi. However, it has been suggested that sporting director Deco has assured that the 19-year-old has a future in Catalonia.
