Festim Sefa joined Mirban Xhukellari in the Harehills property
A man wanted by immigration enforcement officers helped to run a "sophisticated" cannabis farm in Harehills.
Leeds Crown Court heard on Wednesday police found the "sophisticated set up" and plants growing across five of the rooms. The property also featured lamps, wall coverings and other things needed to keep a cannabis farm. It was said police had confirmed that Sefa was wanted by immigration after failing to stay in contact with them. Ms Lister said: "The police also told us that he came to the in August 2022 by boat. Xhukellari was not able to say how long he had been in the property. Police confirmed his immigration status was unclear or how he came to be here or when but his account is that it was June 2019.
