Antony Benson, 58, has been named as the man accused of a stabbing rampage in Sydney’s south on Sunday.
Police have confirmed Antony Benson, 58, is the man who allegedly slashed his partner in his car with a box cutter and attacked five others who came to the woman’s aid, including a police officer.
Several bystanders stepped in to help subdue the alleged attacker Antony Benson and help the injured woman in the car.Benson is expected to appear in court later on Monday. CCTV shows Benson allegedly driving on the wrong side of Old Bush Road before he sped through an intersection and hit a blue sedan on the highway at about 9am on Sunday.He then allegedly attacked his 40-year-old partner with a box cutter as bystanders attempted to intervene.show a number of bystanders, including a man holding a short pole and a woman with a towel, confronting Benson as he circled the car with the injured woman still inside.
