A man guilty of murdering his housemate by beating him to death with a bicycle, wheelie bin and baseball bat in a dispute over an internet connection will spend at least 20 years behind bars.

An Adelaide man will spend at least 20 years behind bars for murdering his housemate following a dispute over a bad internet connection.The judge described the attack as vicious, outrageous and completely unjustified

Nikola Milosevic used a baseball bat, wheelie bin and bicycle to bash 52-year-old Danny Barber to death at their North Plympton share house in August 2019. The court heard that while under the influence of methamphetamine and cannabis, Milosevic struck Mr Barber more than 30 times over several hours after returning home to find a note on his bedroom door with a knife threatening to put an axe through his head.Milosevic had pleaded guilty to Mr Barber's manslaughter but claimed he was acting in self-defence and "did not intend to kill him".
