A man who sexually assaulted a woman at Buchanan Street subway station has been ordered to pay his victim £1,000. Alistair McMillan, 38, of Priorscroft in Torphichen, West Lothian, approached the woman on the stairs at the tube station on August 10, 2021 before carrying out his attack.
Transport cops launched a public appeal, as reported by the Record at the time, and subsequently issued CCTV images of McMillan in a bid to track him down. McMillan, who didn't know his victim, later handed himself into police to face justice.
