A man with a criminal past and who was a 'person of interest' in connection to the death of a Texas girl was charged with capital murder.

Records show in 2010, McDougal was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to four years in prison.Court records from Brazoria County, south of Houston, showed McDougal pleaded no contest in 2007 to two felony counts of enticing a child.
