The rules and restrictions on liquids in your hand luggage you need to follow at Manchester Airport
Many families will be jetting off abroad on holiday over the Easter break. While going away can be exciting, flying can be a stressful experience due the rules and regulations you need to follow.
Airports across the UK are in the process of installing new security scanners which will bring the end of the 100ml limit on liquids in hand luggage. The Government has set a nominal deadline of June 1 for major airports to bring in the new system, which will remove the need for passengers to take out their toiletries and laptops from their cabin bags.
The new scanners have already been rolled out at Teesside and London City Airports, while it’s expected that Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, Bristol and East Midlands airports will meet the deadline. However, Manchester Airport will not be meeting the June 2024 deadline, although there are a number of scanners already installed.
Hand luggage liquid restrictions at Manchester Airport Passengers should also ensure that electrical items such as laptops can be easily removed at security.
