The latest guidance from Manchester Airport, Jet2, Tui, Easyjet and Ryanair on liquids in cabin bags
Holidaymakers must continue to follow 100ml limits for liquids in hand luggage when flying this summer. Manchester Airport and major airlines have urged passengers to follow the current guidance.
A nominal deadline of June 1 this year had been set by the government for major airports to install the Next Generation Security Checkpoint Scanners, but extensions were granted to several airports when it was clear that they wouldn’t meet the June 1 2024 deadline. Although they now have been successfully installed at Aberdeen International Airport, Teeside and London City Airports.
EasyJet confirmed that their guidance had not changed, and that liquids, aerosols and gels should be in containers of 100ml or less to pass through security, and that they should all fit into one transparent, re-sealable 20cm x 20cm bag. Ryanair advises passengers to follow the same guidance.
