Revellers enjoyed a day of fun at Love Factory
Sombreros and ponchos were all the rage today in Manchester as the city welcomed a huge taco and tequila festival.
Hundreds poured into Love Factory in the Green Quarter to soak up the Mexican music, food, live wrestling, and drinks. With over 30 types of tacos and 50 types of tequila available, revellers were spoilt for choice - and that's not even mentioning the churros, frozen margs and doughnuts also on offer.
Festival-goers were kept entertained by a crowd-favourite rodeo machine, chilli eating contests, lucha libre wrestling and mexican bingo.Inside the huge waterside food hall that's set to transform Salford Quays into a foodie paradiseThe rise and fall of Rosso: Rio Ferdinand's glitzy southern Italian restaurant loved by celebs suddenly serves its last dish
The event was split between two sessions - an earlier family friendly one, and a later adults only party. Speaking before the event, Taco Town’s Tom Cullen said: “We are excited to bring Taco Town to Manchester for the first time, to share their delicious variety of tacos and tequila. With an array of entertainment including Mariachi bands and Lucha Libre wrestling, this will be an unmissable event with a truly loco atmosphere.
