The new increased added time in fixtures might lead to supporters having a rethink but there a good chunk of people who leave stadiums before the final whistle is blown.and YouGov have crunched the data after polling fans of Premier League sides, as well as the likes of Celtic and Rangers.A total of 1,303 people were surveyed between 26 July and 1 August and nearly one in four fans admitted leaving at least one game early in the 2022/23 campaign.
45% of fans claimed they were not bothered by fans leaving early, with 19% deeming to be a waste of money. The most common reason for leaving early was in order to beat the traffic, with 35% offering that response and 30% saying that it was down to their team losing.
