Nothing seems to be going right so far for Manchester United at Old Trafford vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Manchester United fans have bemoaned VAR after Rasmus Hojlund was denied an equaliser and his first goal for the club against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Unsurprisingly, Danny Welbeck came back to haunt his former club tapping in from close range after a momentary lapse in concentration. United have managed to rally after falling behind with Marcus Rashford close to not equalising after hitting the woodwork.But, Erik ten Hag thought his new investment had brought his team back level shortly before the break. A tricky run by Rashford allowed him to get to the byline before pulling it back to Hojlund who guided the ball home.
After a short deliberation at Stockley Park, VAR chose to rule out the goal because the ball had gone out of play. By the letter of the law, all of the ball must be off the pitch for it to be deemed out.
