Benni McCarthy joined Man United as a striker coach in 2022 but his time at the club looks to be coming to an end.
Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy is likely to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The South African was praised by United players for his involvement in a handful of goals last season and his remit is to 'focus on the positioning and attacking stuff'. The 46-year-old has been linked with managing South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and discussed the possibility of returning to his homeland with radio station 947 this week.
In March, McCarthy said: "With the knowledge I've gained and everything I've contributed to the team - I want to take that and then eventually become a manager. Because once you've sat in the hot seat at a club and you've experienced the adrenaline of decision-making and leading, you want to experience that again one day."
