United sent a letter of appreciation to FC Copenhagen to thank their club for paying their respects to Sir Bobby Charlton when they visited Old Trafford in the Champions League. United's CEO Richard Arnold sent a letter of appreciation to Copenhagen after that game. It read: "Dear Allan, on behalf of everyone at Manchester United I would like to thank yourself, your fellow directors, players, staff and fans for the way you paid your respects to Sir Bobby Charlton last night.
"Sir Bobby was also the last surviving member of the Munich Air Disaster as the team known as the 'Busby Babes' returned from European Cup quarter-final success in Belgrade.
