Manchester will finally welcome some sunshine and soaring temperatures next week after what was the wettest July on record.

Amid heavy downpours and dramatic thunderstorms, the region battled a number of flood alerts, with streets flooded, cars left submerged and even a sinkhole opening up in the middle of the road.But following a grim and damp July, Manchester can now finally look ahead to another taste of summer next week, with sunny conditions and temperatures as high as 25C according to forecasts by the Met Office.

Conditions will be much the same on Tuesday . There is a small chance of rain in the morning, until around 10am, when conditions are due to be warm and overcast, with highs of 19C. On Thursday , temperatures will soar to around 25C with sunny conditions for most of the day. There will be cloudy intervals and it may become overcast in the afternoon but will remain dry.
