Can't wait for a new SVR? Manhart's latest has 653hp...

If nothing else, you know what to expect when a Manhart modified car lands: it’s going to have more power, bigger wheels - and lots more gold. So it goes for the SV 650, with 24-inch wheels the same colour as the decal set and engine cover, plus a 30mm ride height drop. Subtle it most certainly is not.

What’s under those golden engine accents is of a little more interest, however. This SV 650 is based on aSport, which now uses the BMW 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. Manhart’s expertise is in BMW engines, so it makes sense that the new Sport would receive their attention soon enough. Plus we all know that modified Range Rovers are always in demand, which is precisely whyThanks to the MHtronik powerbox , what was 530hp and 553lb ft has become an enormous 653hp and 664lb ft.

Elsewhere, Manhart has treated the SV 650 to a new exhaust from the particulate filter back for an ‘even more distinctive sound’; again, its experience modifying the 4.4 promises a lot there. And that’s kind of it for the moment, the Sport’s standard chassis deemed capable enough of handling a substantial uplift in power. We’d expect the new SV to upgrade a few more bits and bobs, but don’t be surprised if there’s demand already for a really, really fast Sport on big wheels.

X-ray Studies of Blazar 1ES 1959+650 Using SWIFT & XMM-NEWTON SatelliteX-ray Studies of Blazar 1ES 1959+650 Using SWIFT & XMM-NEWTON SatelliteHigh synchrotron energy peaked blazar 1ES 1959+650 is studied with Swift and XMM-Newton satellite in total 127 observations during the period June 2018-December 2020. We extensively studied its flux and spectral variability on intra-day and long-term timescales. Discrete correlation function analysis between soft and hard X-ray bands indicates soft as well as hard lags. The results are used to constrain the magnetic field of the emitting region which is found to be 0.64 (0.05) Gauss. On long-term timescales, distribution of fluxes shows lognormality behaviour which could be attributed to minijets-in-a-jet model or might be due to the propagation of relativistic shocks down the jet. The spectral energy distribution around the synchrotron peak is well described by the log parabola model. Spectral parameters like peak energy E$_{p}$, curvature $β$ and the peak luminosity L$_{p}$ are derived from spectral analysis. Their correlations are studied to constrain the acceleration processes of the emitting particles. E$_{p}$ shows strong correlation with L$_{p}$ during the high state of the source which indicates spectral changes might be caused by the variations of the average electron energy. Low values of curvature parameter $β$ and a weak correlation between E$_{p}$ and $β$ indicates co-existence of stochastic/statistical acceleration of electrons in the emitting region. Implications of other results are also discussed.
