A major police manhunt is underway in Sydney’s west after a masked man armed with a knife and hammer robbed multiple people – appearing to target women.
Ten minutes later a 47-year-old woman was walking on Mons Road when the man stopped the SUV near her. Sensing something was wrong, the woman attempted to run away as the man approached her.Shortly after, the man drove to Junia Avenue, Toongabbie, where he attempted to steal a bag from a 19-year-old woman. The pair struggled over the bag before the man pulled out a knife and again fled the scene.
