Manly SeaEagles player Manase Fainu has today stood trial over the alleged stabbing of Faamanu Levi outside a Wattle Grove church in south-west Sydney. The 24-year-old was sidelined in 2019 after being charged over the alleged incident. 9News MORE:

Fainu, 24, pleaded not guilty in theto wounding Faamanu Levi with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and for two backup charges of affray and recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.

Fainu's group were escorted outside to ensure they left the party and one of them yelled "c'mon outside," to which Levi asked them to go home. One of Levi's friends is expected to tell the court that he saw Fainu holding a steak knife with his right arm bent at a 90 degrees angle with his left arm still in the sling.
