The Australians for Constitutional Monarchy’s David Flint says many Australians are not interested in the nation becoming a republic.
“Even at the time of the referendum … we had people who were very emotional and strongly dedicated towards the monarchy,” he told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
Mr Flint said a poll conducted showed only 34 per cent of people were interested in a republic, but young people were less engaged by the idea.
