There are many reasons the restaurant failed but it was not because “Aurorans did not venture out to support the new place” as was mentioned in a recent Beacon-News article.
Who supports the many restaurants in Geneva? Only the people from Geneva? How about all the other restaurants up and down the river and to the east? Who supports them? Only the people who live in those towns? Of course not.
Also, I am unaware of any promotional ideas or marketing strategies that were used to increase business when the Paramount didn’t have a show. In addition, Amy had the benefit of tapping resources from other culinary professionals within her field to help create some excitement for the restaurant. Just opening the door is not enough.
