COSBOA CEO Alexi Boyd says the public holiday for Queen Elizabeth II’s passing is “quite a difficulted situation” for small business owners as many will not be able to get workers in to cover the shifts.
“Some businesses would welcome the extra foot traffic, if you in a holiday area for instance you will see a great surge but were still in a situation where we’ve got worker shortages,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Even if you’ve got an increase in that foot traffic you may not be able to service your customers as best as you wish to.”
