The Maori voice in New Zealand has lead to the “acceleration” of Maori values in government practice, which could foreshadow how the Voice to Parliament would affect Australians, according to Former advisor to the US State Department Craig Greaves.
“The Maori voice has been a prominent part of the New Zealand identity for a number of years now – decades now, and it’s been broadly accepted, honoured, and understood,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“But what we’ve – I believe, over the course of the last six years, particularly since the Labour government retook treasurer benches, is an acceleration of some Maori values in the practice of government.”
