Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and Roy Keane have all expressed concerns about Marcus Rashford in recent weeks - and the Manchester United forward's brother has now hit back.
Marcus Rashford's brother has hit back at Gary Neville and accused the Manchester United legend of fuelling "clickbait" stories about the struggling star.
"I completely understand podcasts and how they work but if you have genuine concerns, pick up the phone," Maynard posted hours before Rashford was dropped to the bench for United's Premier League clash with Chelsea on Thursday. Explaining his decision to bench Rashford for the trip to Chelsea, Erik ten Hag, explained to TNT Sports: "I decided for Marcus on the bench for rotation to keep him and the team fresh through a busy period with another big game on Sunday ".
Ferdinand then questioned the type of people Rashford has around him: He added "From him, he's got to look at who is around him. I know his family play a big part with him, which is great, but who are the external people around that? Are they the right people, are they enabling him to make excuses for himself behind closed doors, or are they saying, 'Look at yourself, and be accountable for what you are doing'?".
