NSW Police will take part in the 2025 Mardi Gras after the parade’s members voted down a motion to exclude them by 34 votes.

Members of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras have narrowly voted against three contentious resolutions that would have prevented NSW Police from marching in the 2025 parade.would have barred police until “such time as they demonstrate a commitment to improving relationships with LGBTQIA+ communities”.
