Margot Robbie’s Pirates of the Caribbean remake with a female-led cast potentially may still go ahead 📽️
She said: ‘We had an idea and we were developing it for a while, ages ago, to have more of a female-led — not totally female-led, but just a different kind of story — which we thought would’ve been really cool. However Jerry Bruckheimer, who was signed on as a producer on the project, has now insisted the project is not dead, but very much ‘alive.’Speaking toHe said the team was developing two Pirates movies – ‘one with Margot Robbie and one with younger cast.
Jerry explained: ‘The Margot Robbie one needs a little more work. The younger cast one is close. Hopefully we’ll get both of them.’The producer, who worked on all five previous Pirates movies, insisted: ‘We believe we’ll get it made. It’s a very strong story.’ Chatting to The Sunday Times in May of this year, Jerry confirmed both projects were in development and denied any return of Johnny and his infamous Captain Jack character.
