The star faithfully recreated one of the iconic doll's original iterations
Margot Robbie brought Barbie back to her vintage glamour roots for the film's Los Angeles premiere.
The actress arrived at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall tonight in a glittering custom Schiaparelli couture gown, which channeled the 1960 "Solo in the Spotlight" Barbie. The strapless bustier gown was covered in sparkling sequins, with the curve-hugging bodice ending in a flouncy, mermaid-style skirt made of layers of inky black tulle. An embroidered corsage adorned the tulle skirt, perfectly matching the original doll's details.
The star's faithful recreation continued into her accessories, as she added velvet opera gloves, black peep-toe heels, and layers of diamond choker necklaces, while carrying a pale-pink silk mousseline scarf. She styled her hair in a perfectly coiffed low ponytail, and her glam look was topped off with glowy, rosy blush and a bright red lip.
