Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., called out Vice President Kamala Harris Monday for pushing “communist” gun control policies in Congress.
The remarks came in response to Harris posting on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that "weapons of war have no place on the streets of a civil society.". She continued by noting the importance of the Second Amendment as the U.S. continues to struggle to control immigration at the southern border.
“Shame on you for trying to destroy Americans’ right to defend ourselves while your policies have caused skyrocketing crime and our country to be invaded by criminals, gangs, and terrorists," Greene wrote.Harris also received criticism on her original post, with some X users replying with a slew of sarcastic memes and comments connecting the statement to the Israel-Hamas war.welcome
