Top Northern Irish potter Mark Allen believes UK events need to improve with the influx of big-money overseas tournaments on the calendar. The inaugural Saudi Arabia Masters boasted a whopping £2.3million prize pot, comparable only to the World Championship, with the players treated to luxurious hospitality.
And ahead of this week’s English Open, Allen said: “There are a lot of tournaments in the UK, but they need to up their game.
