The six-bedroom Poolman House, which would be renovated to host nine hotel rooms, could be home to Australia’s first Soho Club.“In those old world clubs, you might say, ‘I need to speak to this particular councillor to get something approved, can you get me in front of that particular individual to state my case?’ At CUB, you walk in and say, ‘I have a problem about digital marketing.’ It’s more like have you had that problem, and did someone help you solve it?” he said.
“When I went in I just went, ‘Oh my god, this is from another time.’ They like that, they enjoy that, that was certainly not what we were building. Some invited me in to talk about how to get new, young members. These clubs have never evolved to modern times.”Contour Consultants Australia He said the average age of members was 42, but they range from the 20s to the late 60s. The majority of members run a business with revenue of between $1 million and $50 million across a range of industries including the law, consulting, fashion, marketing, construction and technology.
