The Western Australian Premier has called on residents to come forward for testing as he admitted he expects there are more active cases in the community.
The Premier's warning has come as the state recorded three new locally acquired COVID-19 cases – which were reported on Sunday evening – and nine cases from interstate and overseas arrivals.
Mr McGowan called on residents to come forward for testing after it was revealed one of the cases had been positive while in the community. Residents were also reminded to continuously check the exposure sites on the Healthy WA website which would be updated as contact tracing interviews are conducted.
“Check the exposure sites regularly and get tested if you have been there, ensure you monitor these venues.” “This is particularly the case given what we are witnessing in the eastern states where the rapid spread of Omicron is causing havoc and heartbreak.
