Maroons legend Gorden Tallis has again fired back at criticism directed at Queensland coach Billy Slater , who finds his judiciary rap sheet as a player under the microscope.
“As a player, Billy was probably the greatest player in a particular position that I’ve ever seen. As a fullback, he was so far ahead of any other fullback but he got ten charges throughout his career. He was known for some grubby incidents. However, he did make a comment on Channel 9’s 100% Footy Show a few days after Game I which condemned the Sua’ali’i tackle.
