He has continued battling soreness heading into the second Test at Adelaide Oval, with fellow all-rounder Beau Webster added to the Australian squad as injury cover.
Speaking to reporters in Adelaide on Wednesday, spinner Nathan Lyon offered some encouraging remarks about Marsh’s fitness, but declared he was willing to take on the extra workload should it be required.“I am not concerned about Bison’s fitness to be honest. He has been brilliant for us in the games he has come back in. I know he came in that game in Leeds and really dominated that one.“I have full confidence in Bison and to be honest I am happy to bowl his overs.
It comes after Australian seamer Josh Hazlewood was ruled out of the Adelaide Test with a side injury, with Scott Boland expected to replace him in the starting XI.
