Martin Lewis shared how to work out the energy costs
By the time dinner time comes round, home cooks these days may be considering the most cost-effective appliance for whipping up their meal.
On the most recent episode of The Martin Lewis podcast, the expert shared his equation whilst comparing the costs of a dehumidifier to central heating.Martin went on to talk about cooking appliances, stating: "The problem with the equation for heating equipment is an oven is going to be about 2000W. "However if you were doing a full roast dinner and you were cooking many of them, that is where it's probably cheaper than putting five or six jacket potatoes in a microwave because each additional object you put in a microwave, you need to keep it on longer because a microwave just heats the individual object.
