Over the course of its five editions to date, they have supported 111 film projects, 48 of which from Morocco. Several of these have made the cut at major international festivals and also won prizes, bolstering the workshop’s role a Middle East and North Africa region filmmaking incubator “I am always happy to be returning to my beloved Marrakech Film Festival—when I haven’t been able to attend in person, I’ve always been there in spirit,” said Scorsese in a statement.
