Baking legend Mary Berry lost her son William in 1989, when he was just 19 and has revealed that she's been comforted by believing they will be reunited in the afterlife
William, who died in 1989, was on a weekend home from university in Bristol when the tragic accident occurred. He borrowed his father's car and went too fast round a corner, being killed while his sister Annabel escaped.
While its been 34 years since his death, William is remembered every day and is an ever-present part of Mary and husband Paul's family life. Nowadays, although Mary is nearly 89, she is still working, with a new book and television series called Mary Makes It Easy coming out.She said at the time: "I’m looking forward to the celebrations for the Queen’s 70th anniversary and of course judging the Platinum Pudding competition. How exciting!"
