Glasgow's Kelvingrove Museum will will be home to the Mary Quant: Fashion Revolutionary exhibition

: Fashion Revolutionary exhibition throughout the summer, with the event due to run from May 20 until October 22. The international showcase from the V&A focuses on the years from 1955, when Quant opened her boutique, 'Bazaar', on the fashionable King’s Road, through the ‘Swinging Sixties’ and onto the next decade when Quant was awarded an OBE in 1975.

Her name is synonymous with the mini-skirt but, in addition to thigh-skimming hemlines, her signature styles included A-line silhouettes and vibrantly-hued tights – looks that were perfectly embodied by the famous models of the day,
