A man has been charged by Queensland Police after a massive haul of 136kg of cannabis was allegedly found on a truck he was driving, concealed behind palm tree plants.
Police stopped the Hino Pantech truck about 12.45pm on Friday along KP McGrath Drive at Elanora on the Gold Coast.
After searching the back of the vehicle, police allegedly discovered 136kg of cannabis in cryovac bags, concealed behind palm tree plants in pots.It will be alleged the man drove the truck from Melbourne before it was intercepted at Elanora. Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad detectives confirmed on Saturday a 42-year-old Mutdapilly man had been charged with one count of possession of dangerous drugs exceeding schedule three .
