Jock Zonfrillo had spent the final weeks with his family before being found dead during a welfare check, with celebrity chef friends revealing their shock at the MasterChef judge's death.
It is understood the MasterChef judge left his wife Lauren and two children, five-year-old Alfie and two-year-old Isla, in Rome as he flew back to Australia over the weekend to promote season 15 of the popular Network Ten cooking show.
They spent some weeks holidaying in the popular European destination before the much-loved chef returned alone to Australia to promote the show. "For those who crossed his path, became his mate, or were lucky enough to be his family, keep this proud Scot in your hearts when you have your next whisky."
