Glasgow native Ali Stoner was a contestant on last year's Masterchef Australia and has called on her Scottish roots to create an amazing array of delicious recipes.
A Glasgow-born Masterchef star has shared three of her most beloved recipes in homage to Scotland's biggest city.
Some who, like Ali, had emigrated Down Under, were even, 'brought to tears' as how-to videos for stovies, lorn sausage, tattie scones and haggis reminded them of home and loved ones who have passed away.She told Glasgow Live: "What started to become clear was that people were really enjoying the traditional Scottish dishes. I have had so many messages from people who have been brought to tears at the memory of something their parents or grandparents had made, and then recipes lost.
Glasgow is never too far from Ali's thoughts who hails one of the west end's most renowned eateries as her 'go-to', and one the city centre's plushest bars for their cocktails. The talented cook shared three recipes with Glasgow Live for readers to try their hand at cooking with two products loved by Glaswegians; pakora and Irn-Bru.Glasgow Fish Pakora and Pink Pakora Sauce Ali said: "This is a treat I have only ever found in Scotland. It was a family favourite growing up when we’d eat out at the Shish Mahal in Glasgow.
