BREAKING: Play has been suspended at the Masters in Augusta after a tree collapsed amid the rough weather conditions.
Play was suspended on the second day of the Masters with footage showing a tree collapsing near spectators.
Amid strong winds and stormy weather at Augusta National, golf fans scrambled to get out of the way as the pine tree collapsed near the 17th hole.Play was suspended for second time on Friday due to the weather with players brought in from the course and spectators evacuated. A statement read: ‘Due to inclement weather conditions, Augusta National Golf Club was forced to suspend play at 4:22 p.m. EDT and, subsequently, evacuated the grounds.
