The Danish Under 21 striker has emerged as a transfer target with the champions in
Brendan Rodgers wants another attacker added to his squad before the transfer window shuts this month and Kvistgaarden has emerged as a target, reports the Scottish Sun. The Danish Under 21 international is currently with Brondby and scored ten goals in 37 games for the Superliga club last season. This term, he has one goal and a couple of assists to his name.
A fee would be required to last Kvistgaarden, who recently penned a contract extension back in March to commit himself to Brondby until 2027. However, an approach from the Scottish champions could tempt him into moving, especially with the prospect of Champions League football on offer.
Kvistgaarden is a teammate of current Celtic star Matt O'Riley. The pair play for the national Under 21 side together and the midfielder could play a key role in persuading his compatriot to make the move to Glasgow. He wouldn't necessarily come in as a starter given his age and the options Rodgers already has up front. But he would be seen as one to develop while providing back up in the same vein as Marco Tilio. The Aussie arrived at parkhead earlier this summer but has been kept in the sidelines with an injury.
