The Matildas are sweating another serious injury concern as the Paris Olympics draw closer, with Katrina Gorry spotted on crutches after suffering an injury while playing for West Ham . The star midfielder was in the thick of the action against Chelsea , who are hunting down a fourth straight title with injured Aussie Sam Kerr , until a challenge gone wrong in the 18th minute. Gorry went down in instant pain and quickly grabbed at her right shin and ankle.
The 31-year-old limped to the sidelines and attempted to jog it off, but just moments later she was substituted off for the remainder of the game. Gorry was spotted on crutches with an ice pack wrapped around her leg at half-time. The injury could rule her out of the Matildas’ clash with Mexico in Texas on April 9 (April 10 AEDT) but whether she will be out longer remains to be see
