.TheMatildas will take the same 20-player squad that finished top of their Olympic qualifying group into next month's two-legged showdown with Vietnam for a place at Tokyo 2020

The Matildas will take the same 20 players into next month's home-and-away clashes with Vietnam.Only 18 players can be selected for the Olympics, with Milicic's decision to entrust his current crop of players against the world No.32-ranked Vietnamese side perhaps a pointer to his thinking around selection, and a sign that those outside of the current mix may find it difficult to break into calculations.

"The players that we had in camp in Sydney did a great job to help us advance to the next phase of Olympic qualification," Milicic said."We were in camp for over three weeks, which enabled us to get some great work in both on and off the pitch. I look forward to working with these players again in Newcastle and Vietnam as we seek to seal Australia a second football team in Tokyo.

The Matildas will assemble for a short camp in Newcastle before their home clash with Vietnam at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday, March 6. Five days later, they will play again at Cẩm Phả Stadium in Vietnam's north-east.
