Hayley Raso scored twice to get the Matildas off to a blazing start in their must-win match against Canada.
The Matildas have kept their World Cup dream alive in their final group match, scoring three times against Canada at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
Hayley Raso scored her first goal for the national side in the ninth minute to a deafening roar from the home crowd. She followed it up with a second goal just before half time. Fowler had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half before making it three for Australia in the second half of the game.
Australia, on three points, must beat Canada, who have four, at AAMI Park to guarantee passage to the round of 16.
