The Matildas capped off a perfect campaign at the Cup of Nations with a 3-0 victory over Jamaica, giving the team a major confidence boost ahead of the FIFA World Cup on home soil.
The victory is a great sign for coach Tony Gustavsson as it marks his first trophy since taking over in 2021 and is an ominous warning to other countries ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be played on home soil later in the year.
