The Opposition Leader will pledge on Wednesday morning to dump the rail line from Cheltenham to Box Hill.“As Premier, my first priority will be to fix the health crisis,” Guy said in a written statement ahead of the announcement.
The Coalition has not yet detailed whether it would never proceed with the loop, or if it would simply delay the building of stage one. The Coalition announcement is the second policy pitch this week after a commitment to make transport free for health workers., the first stage of which will cost at least $34.5 billion, and redirect the future spending to the state’s health system.
