Retton has been in an intensive care unit in Texas battling a rare form of pneumonia for more than a week, according to her daughter McKenna Lane Kelley.from just over 6,800 donors by Thursday afternoon had brought in more than $378,000, far surpassing the family’s $50,000 goal.
